Body Recovered from Water Near Pier Road in Greenhithe

A man has been confirmed dead after his body was recovered from the water near Pier Road, Greenhithe, this afternoon.

Kent Police, paramedics, and the Coastguard were called to the scene shortly after 1:00pm on Wednesday 2 July. The man’s body was pulled to shore, where he was pronounced deceased.

Death Not Treated as Suspicious

In a statement, a Kent Police spokesperson said:

“Officers attended along with paramedics and the Coastguard.
A man was brought to shore near Pier Road, Greenhithe, and was confirmed deceased shortly afterwards.
His next of kin is aware.”

Authorities have confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
