Multiple stabbing investigations launched across London after five serious incidents

The Metropolitan Police are investigating a series of five serious stabbing incidents that took place across London on July 27 and 29, leaving three people dead and several others in hospital.
Bermondsey: Father and son killed at business premises
Two men – identified as Brendan McMillan, 27, and his father Terry McMillan, 58 – died following a knife attack at their company’s offices on Long Lane, Bermondsey on Monday, July 28.
Police were called at around 1pm and found four people suffering stab wounds. Terry McMillan was pronounced dead at the scene, while Brendan later died in hospital. A third man remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A 31-year-old British man was arrested the same day on suspicion of murder. He remains in hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.
Detective Chief Superintendent Emma Bond said:
“Our investigation continues at pace and we are working hard to understand the full circumstances. I would also encourage anyone who may be worried to speak to an officer.”
A crime scene remains in place at the business premises and at a nearby hotel connected to the suspect.
Welling: Boy, 15, stabbed behind Co-op
Later on July 28, a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in an alleyway behind a Co-op store in Cambridge Avenue, Welling, shortly before 9.30pm.
He presented himself at a local hospital where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
Romford: Woman found dead at home
On Sunday, July 27, police attended a property in Bushy Close, Romford following concerns for the welfare of a woman in her 60s. She was found with multiple stab wounds and pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers believe the incident is connected to the death of a 20-year-old man who died on the train tracks at Romford railway station earlier the same day.
Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke described it as an “isolated incident” and said there was no wider risk to the public.
East Ham: Man injured in residential road stabbing
A 25-year-old man was stabbed on Marlow Road, East Ham at 5.16pm on July 28. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
West Ham Park: 33-year-old man attacked
The following day, Tuesday, July 29, police were called to West Ham Park, Upton Lane at 10.50am where a 33-year-old man had been stabbed.
He was taken to hospital where his injuries were confirmed as non-life-threatening. Officers recovered a knife at the scene but no arrests have been made.
Police appeal for information
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that these incidents are not linked but are appealing for witnesses and information in each case.
