A man in his 40s has been arrested in england/south-east/west-sussex/”>england/south-east/west-sussex/”>West Sussex after a weekend cyber attack slammed major airports, including Heathrow. The National Crime Agency (NCA) swooped on Tuesday, suspecting breaches of the Computer Misuse Act. The suspect is now out on conditional bail.

The cyber attack took aim at Collins Aerospace, the firm behind check-in and boarding systems for airlines worldwide. The digital assault caused travel delays not only at London Heathrow but also at airports in Brussels and Berlin, leaving passengers stuck and frustrated.
NCA Calls Arrest a ‘Positive Step’
Paul Foster, Deputy Director and head of the NCA’s National Cyber Crime Unit, hailed the arrest but warned the probe is just beginning.
