Police in Avon and Somerset are hunting a man after he grabbed a 13-year-old girl’s arm in Yeovil. The shocking incident took place just after 8am on Wednesday, 1st October.
Girl Fights Back and Escapes
The teenage girl was walking along a lane between Freedom Avenue and Burroughes Avenue when the suspect suddenly grabbed her left arm and pulled it. Luckily, she managed to push him away and ran to safety. She couldn’t get a clear description but believes the attacker was a man.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
Yeovil neighbourhood inspector Roseanna Green urged local residents to help: “This victim is understandably upset, but we are supporting her and her family, with additional help from her school. We’re carrying out house-to-house inquiries and checking CCTV. We ask anyone in the area to review their cameras for anything suspicious around the time of the attack.”
