Six men are set to face magistrates after being charged with serious non-recent sexual offences against girls in Kirklees, West Yorkshire Police have confirmed.
Crimes Date Back to the Mid-1990s
The alleged offences took place between 1994 and 1998 in the West Yorkshire area. The accused will appear at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on Thursday morning, 2nd October.
Meet the Accused
- Najib Reham, 53 – Three counts of rape.
- Shafiq Siddique, 56 – One count of rape.
- Rahis Karim Tahir, 56 – One count of rape.
- Umar Farooq, 55 – Four counts of rape and false imprisonment.
- Kadir Hussain Iddaula, 58 – One count of rape, aiding and abetting rape, and two counts of indecent assault.
- Mushtaq Sher, 49 – Three counts of rape and three counts of indecent assault.

West Yorkshire Police say enquiries are ongoing in close partnership with the Crown Prosecution Service as part of this operation. Officers continue to urge anyone affected by sexual assault—whether recent or decades ago—to step forward.
All reports are handled by specialist safeguarding officers, who ensure victims receive the necessary support. The needs of victims remain central to every investigation.
