East London’s Biggest Tax Dodgers Exposed by HMRC – UKNIP

HMRC has dropped its latest list naming and shaming deliberate tax defaulters across the UK — with eleven individuals and firms caught red-handed in east London alone.

These culprits made deliberate errors or outright failed to meet their tax obligations. When losses exceed £25,000, HMRC slaps on stiff civil penalties to make an example of them.

Biggest Busts: Six-Figure Defaults and Hefty Penalties

  • Brian Kenneth Wren: The company director, linked to three Havering addresses, racked up a shocking £568,515.30 in unpaid tax between 2012 and 2018. He was hit with a colossal £270,044.74 penalty.
  • Premier Signature London Ltd: The catering and event company with ties to Hornchurch and the Isle of Dogs deliberately underpaid tax totalling £342,990.84 over five years. HMRC fined them £204,079.52.
  • DXB Wholesale Ltd: This scrap metal broker formerly based in Admirals Way, Isle of Dogs and Nottingham, defaulted on £1.35 million in tax in less than a year. The penalty? A massive £943,102.30.

  • Nosorog Construction Ltd: The firm defaulted on £108,555.67 of tax from 2022 to 2024 across addresses in East London, NW London, and Wigan. Penalty: £66,490.34.
  • Highend London Ltd: Formerly Mac Singh Service Ltd with links to Manor Park and Southall, it dodged £35,370.30 in tax and got slapped with a £24,759.21 penalty.
