Police have swooped on five men after shots were fired at a residential property on Lissadel Street. Luckily, no one was hurt in the terrifying ordeal.
Police Launch Rapid Response
The troubling incident happened between 8.45pm and 9pm on Monday, 6 October 2025. GMP officers acted swiftly, detaining five men aged 20, 22, 24, 28 and 39 on suspicion of firearm possession. All are currently in custody for questioning.
Detective Chief Inspector Speaks Out
“We know how concerning incidents like this can be for those who live and work in the area,” said Detective Chief Inspector Martyn Johnson from Salford district. “Since the incident was reported, we have made significant headway, apprehending five men in relation to the discharge. While it’s fortunate that no one was injured, the use of firearms on our streets is completely unacceptable.”
The investigation continues as authorities vow to clamp down on gun crime and keep Salford safe.
