A 79-year-old man was rushed to hospital after his motorcycle went out of control at about 11.35am on Friday, 26 September. The crash happened at the roundabout linking the A281 (West Road), Poynings Road, and Saddlescombe Road.

Car Driver Flees Scene After Near-Collision

Police say the biker lost control when trying to avoid a collision with a car. Shockingly, the driver of that car failed to stop, fleeing the scene without offering help.

Investigation Underway—Police Want Witnesses

Sussex Police launched a full probe. Officers are chasing several leads and urge anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam, CCTV, or mobile footage to come forward.

“We encourage anyone who witnessed the incident or who has relevant information such as CCTV, mobile or dashcam footage to report it to us.”
