Around 30 firefighters and five fire engines rushed to tackle flames engulfing roughly 100 solar panels on the store’s roof this morning.

Solar Panels in Flames

The blaze heavily damaged a small section of the roof after igniting the solar panels atop the large commercial building on Drury Way. Fortunately, crews managed to bring the fire under control swiftly.

Swift Evacuation, No Injuries

About 250 shoppers and staff were evacuated safely with no reported injuries. Emergency services responded quickly after receiving the first of twelve calls at 10:35 AM.

Firefighting Efforts

Firefighters from Park Royal, Wembley, Willesden, and North Kensington fire stations joined the operation. A 32-metre turntable ladder was deployed as a water tower to douse the flames from above. The fire was finally extinguished by 12:44 PM.

Investigation Underway

The cause of the fire remains unknown as authorities continue to investigate.
