BLAZE HORROR Blaze Erupts at Former Eastbourne School

Police and East Sussex Fire & Rescue are battling a major fire at the old Moira House School buildings on Upper Carlisle Road, Eastbourne, tonight.

Eight Fire Engines On Scene

Crews rushed to the scene at 5:47pm and have deployed eight fire engines to tackle the fierce blaze. Both Carlisle Road and The Link Road remain closed as emergency teams work to contain the fire.

Residents Urged to Stay Safe

Locals are being warned to keep windows and doors shut due to thick smoke in the area. Authorities also advise avoiding the scene to allow firefighters to do their job safely.

No Injuries, Cause Unknown

So far, there have been no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
