EARLY MORNING ATTACK Hate Crime Shocker in Holloway: Two Women Attacked in Early Morning Assault

Police are hunting a man after a vicious assault on two women on Holloway Road. The attack, believed to be a hate crime, happened in the early hours of Sunday, 22 June.

Man Shouts Abuse, Then Strikes Women in Their 20s

At around 3:30am, two women in their twenties were standing near the Moonlight Supermarket at the junction with Madras Place when a man approached and began shouting at them. Things turned violent fast as he physically assaulted both women.

One woman fell backward, hitting her head and sustaining cuts. Both were rushed to hospital and treated for bruises and injuries to their faces and bodies.

Suspect At Large: Police Describe Man With Braided Hair

The attacker fled before officers arrived and remains unidentified. Authorities describe him as a black male, late 20s to early 30s, around 5ft 7ins tall with shoulder-length braids. He wore white shorts and a black top.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

This violent incident is being treated as a hate crime after it emerged the women were targeted due to their sexuality. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist their investigation.
