Mobarak Almutairi, 30, from Whitworth Street West, Manchester, was sentenced to three years and eight months at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday 16 September. He pleaded guilty to 20 sexual offences, including sexual assault, outraging public decency, and possession of indecent images.

Attack Caught on CCTV in Market Street Shop

In February 2025, Almutairi followed three young girls into a Market Street shop and sexually assaulted one of them. CCTV footage quickly led to his identification and arrest. Police seized his electronic devices, uncovering damning evidence.

Thousands of Horrific Images Discovered

Officers found a video showing Almutairi recording the assault himself, along with nearly 4,000 indecent images of children. The shocking material exposed a chilling history of abuse across the UK and beyond.

Lifetime Sex Offender Registration & Prevention Order

Almutairi has been placed on the sex offender register for life and given a sexual harm prevention order that limits his movements and activities, on top of his prison sentence.

This case underscores relentless police action tackling child sexual abuse and bringing predators to justice.
