Tragic Death of Female Zookeeper After Tiger Attack at Hamerton Zoo Park

A female zookeeper was killed after a tiger entered her enclosure at Hamerton Zoo Park near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. Police were called to the scene at 11:15am following reports of a serious incident. An air ambulance arrived 20 minutes later.

Visitors Evacuated As Horror Unfolds

Visitors at the zoo were quickly evacuated after the attack. Cambridgeshire Constabulary confirmed the tragedy on Facebook: “Officers attended a serious incident at Hamerton Zoo Park, Steeple Girding, at around 11.15am today.”

Tiger Inside Enclosure – No Escape

“A tiger had entered an enclosure with a keeper. Sadly the female zookeeper died at the scene,” the police said. They stressed that at no point did the animal escape from its enclosure, ruling out wider danger to the public.
