Blackpool man caught in sting over sick child abuse chat
Undercover cops nail paedophile John Kenny
John Kenny, 30, from Watson Road, Blackpool, thought he was arranging vile abuse of children online. What he didn’t realise? The “children” were actually undercover officers waiting to pounce.
Jailed for sick online grooming attempts
Kenny pleaded guilty to arranging or facilitating child sex offences, trying to force kids to watch sexual images, and attempting to engage in sexual chats with children. Last Thursday (April 1st), he copped a four-year jail term plus an extra three years on licence at Preston Crown Court.
Police vow to crack down on child predators
“Kenny targeted these platforms purely for depraved sexual chats with people he thought were children or parents willing to let him abuse kids,” said Detective Constable Wayne Marshall of Lancashire’s Mosovo team.
“He’s a dangerous man, and this sentence reflects how serious his crimes are. It’ll keep the public safe for years.”
“Lancashire Constabulary and regional partners will keep hunting down those who target children and bring them to justice.”
