Baby Boy, 3 Months Old, Dies After Catastrophic Head Injury in Coventry Home

Tragic Discovery in Stoke

West Midlands Police revealed a heartbreaking case after paramedics found a three-month-old baby boy in cardiac arrest at a home in Stoke, Coventry, on 29 June. The infant had suffered a “catastrophic” head injury and was sadly pronounced dead two days later in hospital.

Suspect in Custody

James Scott, who police say knew the child, was arrested at the time but released under investigation while “complex and extensive enquiries” unfolded. Scott, from Coventry, appeared at 1 Magistrates’ Court and has now been remanded in custody after his latest court appearance.

Next Court Date Set

Scott is due back at Warwick Crown Court on Tuesday for the next stage in the chilling case. Police continue their investigations as the community reels from the tragedy.
