Drug Dealer Locked Up for 30 Months in Chesham Bust

A 52-year-old man from Chesham has been handed a 30-month jail sentence after being caught with heroin and charged with intent to supply.

Mohammed Iqbal Caught Red-Handed

Mohammed Iqbal, of Bellingdon Road, was nabbed on February 3rd during a police raid. Officers found him carrying a stash of heroin, along with a mobile phone and a sum of cash—clear evidence of drug dealing.

He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply heroin at Aylesbury Crown Court on 4 February and was sentenced on 27 April 2021.

“I am satisfied that Iqbal has been convicted and sentenced for possession with intent to supply,” said PC Sarah Lansley from Amersham police station. “We are committed to tackling those who seek to profit from drugs and will bring offenders before the courts to face justice.”

“Drugs are extremely harmful to our communities and we will continue working hard to stop dealers operating in Chesham.”
