High-Speed Drama on Stainton Way

The trouble began around 2:15am on Tuesday, March 1, when Owen was spotted behind the wheel of an Audi A3 near Stainton Way. After being caught driving dangerously, he ditched the car and fled on foot, only to be arrested moments later nearby.

Police Praise Tough Sentence as Warning to Others

Inspector Chris Turner of Coulby Newham’s Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We are pleased with the sentence handed to Macauley Owen this week. He could have seriously harmed himself or other innocent members of the public by driving dangerously that night and his sentence should be a deterrent to others who think this kind of behaviour is acceptable.”

Owen’s sentence sends a clear message: dangerous driving won’t be tolerated on local roads.
