Two Jailed for Sick Child Sex Exploitation in Manchester
Predators Brought to Justice
Dominika Weremczuk, 25, and Mark Houseman, 31, have been slammed with jail sentences after being convicted of horrendous child sexual exploitation offences. The pair appeared at Minshull Street Crown Court on Friday, where Weremczuk was handed an 11-year sentence and Houseman three years behind bars.
How They Groomed Their Victim
The victim first met Weremczuk at just 13 years old. Weremczuk quickly started a sexual relationship with the child. She supplied drugs and arranged for the victim to meet adult men for sex in exchange for cash. It was during this abuse that Weremczuk introduced her to Houseman. He took the victim to his home, where he not only engaged in sex but also watched and recorded the horrific acts.
Sentences and Safeguards
- Weremczuk was found guilty of multiple offences including engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a child under 16, arranging and facilitating child sexual exploitation, and causing/inciting a child to engage in such acts.
- Houseman was found guilty of causing and inciting a child under 16 to engage in penetrative sexual activity.
- Both were handed Sexual Harm Prevention Orders on top of their prison terms.
Police Praise Victim’s Bravery
“First and foremost, I’d like to pay tribute to the victim for having the courage to report this matter to the police,” said Detective Constable Sue Masheter of Tameside’s Complex Safeguarding Team.
“Child sexual exploitation takes many forms. Weremczuk knew the victim was underage but exploited her incredibly. The victim was sexually exploited for money and often given drugs. Thanks to her bravery in coming forward, justice has been served, and these offenders are now behind bars where they can no longer harm others.”
“I urge anyone who believes they or someone they know is being exploited to report it immediately. Help and support are available.”
