Lancashire Police Raid 20 Homes in Major Drug Crackdown
Lancashire Police smashed down doors across Preston this week, targeting heroin and crack cocaine dealers in a massive operation. Officers executed a string of warrants from Tuesday to Thursday, snatching drugs, cash, phones, and weapons.
Dubbed Operation Superior, the crackdown aims to stamp out organised crime ruthlessly exploiting vulnerable locals.
12 Charged in Preston Drug Bust
Detective Chief Inspector Zoe Russo warned, “Organised crime ruins communities, wrecking lives of users and those forced into dealing. These gangs prey on the young and vulnerable, but we’re determined to stop them.”
Those nabbed and charged include:
- Haq Nawaz, 28, Leyland – conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin
- Dil Nawaz, 26, Preston – conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin
- Asim Nawaz, 22, Chorley – conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin
- Louis Brown, 31, Fulwood – conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin
- Sohail Ahmed Dad, 25, Preston – conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin
- Kian Makinson, 20, Preston – conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin
- Hasan Saeed, 24, Preston – conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin
- Elliot Slater, 23, Ribbleton – conspiracy to supply cocaine, heroin, and cannabis possession
- Christopher Edgington, 25, Preston – conspiracy to supply cocaine, heroin, and cannabis possession
- Lee Davies, 45, Ribbleton – conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin
- David Cartwright, 49, Ribbleton – conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin
- Zain Hussain, 18, Ribbleton – conspiracy to supply cocaine, heroin, offensive weapon possession, plus crack cocaine intent to supply
- Daniel Gould, 18, Preston – conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin
- Callum Cowperthwaite, 18, Preston – conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin
- A 16-year-old boy from Preston – conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin
All appeared at Preston Magistrates’ Court this week.
