Daryll Pitcher in Court Over Historic Sex Offences
Daryll Pitcher, a 46-year-old county councillor from Norman Way, Wootton Bridge, appeared before Newport Magistrates’ Court today. He faces serious charges, including two counts of rape and one count of indecent assault.
The alleged offences date back to between March 19, 1989, and March 20, 1992, involving a girl under 14 years old in Wootton.
Bail Granted, Next Hearing Set
Pitcher was released on bail but must return to Isle of Wight Crown Court on August 22 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
