Predator Faizan Dogar Jailed for Multiple Rapes in Bury

Faizan Dogar from Bolton Road, Bury, has been sentenced at Manchester Crown Court after pleading guilty to 12 offences, including five counts of rape.

Disturbing Crimes Detailed

  • Dogar admitted to two counts of sexual communication with a child.
  • He also pled guilty to three counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
  • Possession of indecent images was among the other charges.

Detective Slams “Calculating Sexual Predator”

“Dogar is a calculating sexual predator who has subjected two young victims to horrific attacks,” said Detective Constable Nathan Lilley of Bury CID. “He is a fantasist with an unhealthy interest in the abuse of women and young girls. Both victims continue to be supported by specialist GMP officers and showed extreme bravery in providing evidence against Dogar. He is a dangerous individual and it’s a relief that he is off the streets and behind bars.”

How Dogar Lured His Victims

In August 2021, Dogar contacted his first victim via Facebook and Snapchat. After arranging to meet, he became aggressive when she said she wanted to go home. He put her in a headlock, fondled her, then threatened to choke her unconscious before raping her.

CCTV footage captured Dogar with the victim, and police found clothing matching the footage at his home. A search also uncovered his mobile phone with indecent images and evidence linking him to the victim.

In May 2022, Dogar contacted a second victim through Snapchat, initially bonding over gaming chats. He then raped her after arranging to meet. Police tracked the mobile number he used to contact her, leading to his arrest and the full investigation by GMP’s Bury and Salford districts.
