Tragedy struck Heath Estate on Thursday morning as police discovered a mother and daughter dead inside their home. Officers were called just after 9.55am on 8 September following concerns for their safety.

Mother and Daughter Found Dead at Heath Estate Home

Inside the property, officers found 44-year-old Jillu Nash and her 12-year-old daughter Louise Nash deceased. Formal identification is pending, but both have been named by authorities.

Brutal Cause of Death Revealed

A Home Office post-mortem confirmed Jillu Nash died from pressure to the neck. Little Louise was fatally stabbed in the abdomen.

Man with Serious Injuries Arrested at Scene

A 46-year-old man was detained nearby with serious injuries and rushed to hospital. He stayed under police guard for over five weeks before being moved to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning on the evening of Saturday 15 October.

Peter Nash Charged with Double Murder

Peter Nash, from Heath Estate, Great Waldingfield, was charged with two counts of murder. He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Monday 17 October.
