Sex Offender Abdoulie Jobe Jailed for 15 Years After Three Rape Convictions

Abdoulie Jobe, 29, from Harmsworth Crescent in Hove, was locked up for 15 years at Chichester Crown Court on October 26. The unemployed man was found guilty after a seven-day trial of multiple horrifying sex crimes against three women.

Jobe’s Night of Terror in City Nightclub

Jobe first struck on July 27 last year at a city nightclub. Despite the protests of a 19-year-old victim and her friends, he wouldn’t leave her alone. He sexually assaulted her over her clothes before bouncers kicked him out. CCTV caught the incident but couldn’t ID him at the time.

Chilling Attacks Follow Weeks Later

Less than a month later, on August 24, Jobe raped a 17-year-old at a city flat where they were briefly alone. Then, on the night of August 28-29, he hooked up with a group outside a seafront club and slipped away with a 31-year-old woman. At the flat, he raped her as the others remained unaware.

Police Praise Victims’ Bravery as Jobe Finally Caught

The CPS backed a thorough probe by Brighton & Hove Safeguarding Investigations Unit which led to Jobe’s arrest last November after media appeals.

“Jobe systematically preyed on women he met in the city, exploiting any moment of vulnerability for his own gratification,” said Detective Constable Beth Griffiths. “He was intimidating, and the first victim was too frightened to speak out until she saw the appeals trying to track him down.”

Despite Jobe’s attempts to explain away the assaults, the evidence and powerful victim testimonies sealed his fate.

Thanks to the police efforts, the city is safer now that this predator is behind bars for a long time.
