Man Fatally Stabbed in Rotherham

Tragedy struck Rotherham yesterday as 60-year-old Philip David Woodcock was found fatally stabbed at the FedEx depot on Rother Way, Hellaby. Emergency services arrived at 9:39am on Wednesday 2 November after reports of a disturbance. Sadly, Philip died at the scene from critical stab wounds.

Victim’s Family in Shock

A post mortem confirmed the cause of death as stab wounds. Police say Philip’s family are being supported by specially trained officers and have requested privacy during this heartbreaking time.

Suspect Arrested and Charged

Meanwhile, a second man suffered minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment. Today, 48-year-old Ronald Sekanjako, from Bellhouse Road, Sheffield, was charged with murder, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage, and possession of an offensive weapon.

Sekanjako has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning (Friday 4 November).
