XR Protesters Slam Broxbourne Printing Press Roads

Over 100 Extinction Rebellion activists caused chaos by blocking roads outside newspaper printing presses across England. Police hauled in 51 protestors for highway obstruction. The main flashpoint was the Broxbourne printing works, where the sit-in started at 10pm on Friday, September 4, and lasted until 10am the next day.

Delivery Chaos Hits UK Papers

Delivery vans were stranded, unable to drop off papers including The Sun, The Times, and The Sunday Times. The nationwide blockades sparked widespread disruption to newspaper distribution.

Strict Bail & Court Dates for XR Fighters

Hertfordshire Police have released 50 protestors on strict bail. They face a court appearance in St Albans Magistrates’ Court on November 27, though the date could change. Bail rules slam protestors with tight travel bans:

  • No coming within 100 metres of any Newsprinters Ltd site
  • Restricted from entering Greater London via the M25 or Hertfordshire until September 13
  • Barred from taking part in any Extinction Rebellion protests until September 13
