Man Charged with Double Murder as Police Search for Missing Woman’s Body – UKNIP

A 65-year-old man from South London has been charged with the murder of two women as the police intensify their search for the body of a missing woman. Naomi Hunte, aged 41, was fatally stabbed at her residence on Congleton Grove in Greenwich on February 14 last year.

Carl Cooper, a resident of Broadfield Road in Hither Green, was arrested by the Police four days after the incident but was subsequently released under investigation. The case took a new turn when Fionna Holm was reported missing on June 29 of this year. She was last seen on June 20 at an off-license on Verdant Lane in Hither Green.

Initially treated as a missing person investigation, the disappearance of Fionna Holm has now led to Cooper being arrested and charged with her murder. He is also facing charges related to the murder of Naomi Hunte.

According to the police, Cooper had connections to both women. At the time of the incident, shocked neighbours reported that firefighters had to use axes to gain access to Hunte’s Property. Authorities believe that her body may have remained undiscovered for several days.

Residents in the local area described Hunte as a quiet individual known to everyone. Some expressed concerns about safety in the Congleton Grove neighbourhood, describing it as a “complete blind spot for police.

The Metropolitan Police are continuing their search for the body of Fionna Holm, conducting investigations at various addresses and open areas across South East London.

Cooper’s arrest and the charges brought against him mark a significant development in both cases. The families of Naomi Hunte and Fionna Holm have been informed of the latest developments and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
