Winsford Man Jailed Over £500 Worth of Cocaine and Cannabis
Leon Tomlinson, 38, has been locked up for 40 months after a police drugs raid uncovered a stash worth over £500 at his Winsford home.
Drug Bust at Nuthatch Close
Tomlinson was hauled before Chester Crown Court on Friday 14 July after officers from the Northwich Proactive Policing Unit raided his property on 28 May 2023.
During the search, police found 14 wraps of cocaine tucked inside a black puffa jacket, along with more white powder, cannabis, and drug paraphernalia scattered around the kitchen.
Damning Evidence and Guilty Plea
Mobile phones seized from the house revealed multiple messages about supplying cocaine and cannabis. Despite initially denying drug dealing and claiming the jacket belonged to another man, Tomlinson eventually caved in when presented with photos of him wearing the jacket.
He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (cocaine) and being involved in Class B drug supply (cannabis).
Police Warn Other Dealers
Detective Constable Claire Heatley said: “I welcome the sentence handed to Tomlinson and hope it sends a clear warning to others targeting the Winsford area. Illegal drugs cause immense harm, and we’re committed to removing dealers from our communities.”
“Tomlinson tried to dodge justice, but thanks to solid evidence, he had no choice but to admit his crimes.”
Anyone with information on drug supply in their area is urged to contact Cheshire Constabulary on 101 or report online at cheshire.police.uk/ro/report.
