Two Men Charged with Manslaughter in Leeds Woman’s Death After Attempted Robbery – UKNIP

Leeds, United Kingdom – Two men have been charged with manslaughter in connection with the tragic death of 64-year-old Nhi Muoi Wai, following an attempted robbery at her home in Morley. The incident occurred on Tuesday, March 28 of this year, and has since been under investigation by the West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team.

Nhi Muoi Wai was rushed to the hospital after collapsing during the attempted robbery at her residence in Millside Walk, Morley. Sadly, she was pronounced dead, and the case has been closely examined by law enforcement authorities to bring those responsible to justice.

Samuel Hanrahan, aged 20, and Jerry Hanrahan, aged 18, were initially charged with attempted robbery in connection with the incident back in April. However, after consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, additional manslaughter charges were added to the indictment for both defendants.

During the court proceedings at Leeds Crown Court, Jerry Hanrahan had previously pleaded guilty to the attempted robbery, while Samuel Hanrahan entered a guilty plea to that offence on the day of the hearing. However, no pleas were entered in relation to the manslaughter charges.

The men are scheduled to appear in court again on September 7 for further proceedings related to the case.
