Names Revealed in Prison Smuggling Sting

Christopher Harman, 36, from Pentons Close, Holybourne, Liam Currell, 31, homeless, and Stephanie Burt, 30, of Stanley Green Road, Poole, Dorset, were snapped up in a police crackdown.

Charged with Plotting to Sneak Steroids and Phones Into Prison

All three face conspiracy charges for trying to smuggle list A drugs—steroids—and list B items—mobile phones—into prison.

Stephanie Burt is also pinned with refusing to hand over her phone PIN to cops under a Section 49 notice embedded in the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA).

Police and Prison Service Join Forces

The bust comes after a joint probe by Hampshire Constabulary and HMP Winchester. The trio have been slapped with conditional bail but remain in custody.

Court Date Set

Harman, Currell, and Burt are due in front of Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 4th.
