Met Police Special Constable Charged with Rape

A serving Metropolitan Police Special Constable has been rocked by shocking rape charges following a West Mercia Police investigation.

Paul Hoile Arrested and Charged

Special Constable Paul Hoile, assigned to the North West Command Unit, was arrested on suspicion of rape on Wednesday, July 6. Two days later, on July 8, he was formally charged.

Court Appearance and Suspension

Hoile is set to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, July 9. The alleged incident took place in Newport, Shropshire.

He has been suspended pending the outcome, with the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards launching its own probe into the matter.
