Drugs bust in Essex as dealer caught red-handed

Police swoop on Essex property

On Tuesday 3 January, a major drugs haul was recovered outside an address on Essex Road. Two plain-clothes officers had linked the property to suspicious activity in nearby Sutton Road. At 11am, police forced entry with backup from maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone Community Safety Unit and the Local Policing Team.

Dealer attempts daring escape

Ralphael Wally, 19, from Wateridge Road, Basingstoke, tried to make a run for it through the rear garden. He was spotted pulling a package from his trousers and throwing it over a fence. Officers quickly detained him and retrieved the package.

Huge haul of Class A drugs uncovered

The recovered package held significant amounts of Class A drugs. Officials found a bulk amount, along with heroin and crack cocaine, packaged into roughly 130 wraps.

Wally faces serious charges

Wally was charged with possession with intent to supply both crack cocaine and heroin. On 14 January, he pleaded guilty at Medway Magistrates’ Court. He remains in custody, awaiting sentencing.
