Sheffield Man Romario Melhado Busted in London Shooting Probe
Multiple Charges Hit 26-Year-Old
Romario Melhado, 26, from Doe Royd Crescent, Sheffield, faces an array of serious charges after a shooting incident in London. On Friday, 20 January, he was charged with:
- Two counts of ammunition possession
- Two counts of offensive weapon possession
- Unlawfully taking a vehicle
- Dealing with stolen goods
- Being prepared to steal
- Driving while uninsured
- Not driving in accordance with a licence
The next day, Melhado appeared in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court and was remanded to appear at Harrow Crown Court on Friday, 17 February.
Gunfire Shakes N15 Early Morning
Police launched a probe after the London Ambulance Service alerted them at 6.28am on 27 December 2022 to reports of a shooting at the crossroads of West Green Road and Grove Park Road in N15.
Officers and paramedics rushed to the scene but found no injured individuals. A hospital check later revealed a 24-year-old woman had arrived at a north London hospital around 6.50am—without emergency services.
Victim Treated and Released
She received treatment and was discharged. Preliminary info suggests she was shot just before 6.30am in the West Green Road area.
Another Arrest Made in Firearm Investigation
On 28 December 2022, a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to instil fear of violence. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
