Victim Fatally Attacked Near Chelmsford Green Space
Police were called to a green space off Waterson Vale, Chelmsford, at around 11.30pm on Sunday (12 February) after reports of a serious assault. The victim, 16-year-old Andy Wood, was rushed to hospital but tragically died from his injuries.
Man Charged Over Teen’s Murder
Today, officers charged 18-year-old Elijah Clark, of Gloucester Avenue, Chelmsford, in connection with Andy’s death. He faces charges of murder, actual bodily harm (ABH), and possession of a pointed article.
Clark is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates Court on Thursday, 16 February.
Second Teen Arrested Over Incident
Earlier this afternoon, police also arrested a 17-year-old boy suspected of assisting an offender linked to the murder investigation. He remains in custody as inquiries continue.
