Dealer Behind The Wheel Jailed After High-Speed Drug Bust in High Wycombe
Jawaid Caught Red-Handed with Class A Drugs
Aqib Jawaid, 25, from Deeds Grove, High Wycombe, has been slammed with a three-year jail sentence at Aylesbury Crown Court. The court also slapped him with a three-and-a-half-year driving ban and ordered him to shell out costs.
Drug Charges and Dangerous Driving
Previously, Jawaid admitted to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin – both class A drugs. On top of that, he pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving without a license, and driving while uninsured.
Police Close In After High-Speed Chase
PC Ben Pearmain from the Stronghold Team at High Wycombe police station revealed the dramatic takedown. “On 20 July last year, officers spotted Jawaid driving suspiciously down Green Street, nearly crashing into a shop and parked car as he tried to evade us.”
“When stopped, officers found crack cocaine on Jawaid, plus keys to a second vehicle. A search of that vehicle uncovered a stash of heroin. Jawaid was arrested on the spot.”
Stronghold Team Strikes Again
PC Pearmain added, “This case highlights the tireless work of Thames Valley Police’s Stronghold team, who are cracking down on organised crime in the area.”
