Detective Appeals to Community Loyalty
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Usher said the investigation has uncovered new lines of inquiry. But he stressed: “Unfortunately, we cannot speak about the information we received, but what I would ask is we still need support from the public.”
He described Carol’s community as close-knit, with strong loyalties that may have held back witnesses before. “Given the passing of time, I’m asking those who knew her and maybe didn’t come forward back then to now speak up. Those loyalties might not exist anymore,” he added.
The police hope this renewed appeal will unlock the silence and finally bring justice for Carol.
