Child Predator Nicholas Parkinson Jailed for Horrific Abuse in Wigan
Nicholas Parkinson of Leigh, Wigan, has been locked up at Bolton Crown Court after being found guilty on eight counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecency with a child.
Parkinson Targeted Young Victims Under 10
The court heard how Parkinson preyed on vulnerable children, all under the age of 10 at the time of the crimes.
Detective Praises Victims’ Bravery
Detective Constable Cheryl Williams from GMP’s Major Incident Team said: “Nicholas Parkinson is a predator of the worst kind and this sentence is the culmination of a lengthy and complex investigation.”
She added, “I would like to commend the strength of the victims, who have shown significant bravery in supporting this prolonged prosecution.”
Parkinson Locked Up and Off Our Streets
Detective Williams continued: “Although this sentence cannot undo the horrors these children endured, I hope they take some comfort knowing Parkinson is behind bars for many years and no longer a threat.”
Police Urge Other Victims to Speak Out
She urged anyone affected by sexual assault to contact GMP directly, assuring: “We will listen to you and we will investigate.”
