Rural Crime Team Cracks Down on Bidford Burglar
Tony Davis was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after police linked him to a theft on March 31 in Bidford. The site had been hit multiple times before, with thieves stealing expensive plant machinery and insulation.
Further Haul Recovered in Follow-Up Searches
Police searched an associated site and recovered more stolen machinery. Tony Davis, from Rynal Place, was already serving a community order from March 17. He was promptly remanded in custody.
Coventry Court Sentences Davis to Jail
On Thursday (April 13), the 34-year-old appeared before magistrates in Coventry. He was sentenced to 14 weeks behind bars for theft-related offences, including theft by finding, plus eight weeks for committing a crime while under a community order. Additionally, he received a four-week concurrent sentence for criminal damage under £5,000.
