Arm Robbers Strike in Alderley Edge: Man Hit with Machete in Terrifying Attack
Cheshire Police have launched an urgent appeal after a shocking armed robbery rocked a quiet Alderley Edge street.
Masked Thugs Attack After Night Out
Just after midnight on Sunday, 10 September, two men returning from a night out were confronted by two masked men on Heyes Lane. Dressed all in black and wearing face coverings, the pair chased the victims down the street.
One victim, a 39-year-old man, fell to the ground and was struck on the head with a machete. The attackers grabbed his jewellery before making a swift getaway.
Victim Seriously Injured and Hospitalised
The injured man suffered serious facial wounds and a deep head laceration. He is now in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries.
Police Hunt Tall, Slim Offenders with Cheshire Accents
Witnesses described the attackers as about 6ft tall with slim builds, speaking with local Cheshire or Manchester accents.
Detective Inspector Victoria Shelton said, “This was a terrifying incident that left both victims extremely shaken. We are doing everything to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.”
Police have increased patrols in the area and urge residents to stay vigilant and report any concerns.
