Double Murder Shocks Leeds Community
Robert Jean, 46, is due in Leeds Magistrates Court, charged with the murder of two men in Harehills. Victims Abdullah Mirzada, 53, and Khaja Raisoddin Mohammed, 65, were found fatally injured at their shared home.
Grim Discovery at Harehills Home
Police responded to a distress call on Saturday, September 30, just after 11am at Back Hill Top Avenue. Abdullah Mirzada was pronounced dead at the scene. Khaja Mohammed died shortly after arriving at hospital.
All three men lived together on Hill Top Mount, Harehills. West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are leading the probe, with family liaison officers supporting the devastated relatives.
One Arrested, Another Released
A 47-year-old man was initially arrested over the murders but has since been released without charge. The investigation continues, with a forensic scene still in place at the Hill Top Mount address.
Families Mourn, Search for Answers
“Abdullah was a hardworking, gentle man who avoided conflict,” said his family. “We are shocked and heartbroken.”
“Khaja was a man of great character who found comfort in prayer,” his family added. “He never caused trouble—this senseless act has left us devastated.”
