Norwich Man Jailed for Growing 122 Cannabis Plants

Sadik Cupi, 38, from Stevenson Road, Norwich, has been slapped with a one-year prison sentence for running a large cannabis operation from his home.

Massive Cannabis Haul Discovered

Cupi was arrested on 2 June 2023 after police executed a search warrant at his property. Officers uncovered 122 cannabis plants and a stash of growing equipment. They also seized three mobile phones and some cash.

Charged with Drug Production and Electricity Theft

Alongside producing a class B drug, Cupi was charged with stealing electricity to power his illegal grow. He admitted guilt at Norwich Crown Court on 20 November 2023 and was promptly sentenced to prison.

“We work tirelessly to disrupt organised criminal activity and to remove offenders from the streets of Norfolk,” said PC Lewis George. “We hope this sentence reassures the local community that we will keep their streets safer.”
