Burglary Blitz Hits Derbyshire: Police Hunt Jewellery Thieves

Derbyshire police have launched a major appeal after a spate of break-ins across the county. Thieves have stolen thousands of pounds worth of valuable jewellery and designer gear from homes in Quarndon, Derby, Amber Valley, and the Derbyshire Dales.

Break-Ins Target Homes in Evening Hours

The raids mostly happened late afternoon and evening. Criminals smashed windows or forced open back doors to get inside. Key incidents include:

  • Church Road, Quarndon – Nov 10, 5.30pm to 8pm
  • Two homes on Woodlands Road, Quarndon – Nov 9, 4.45pm to 7.20pm
  • Burley Lane, Quarndon – Nov 25, 6.40pm
  • Summer Lane, Wirksworth – Nov 26, 3.20pm to 6.50pm
  • Sandybrook Close, Ashbourne – Nov 24 to Nov 26
  • The Nook, Holbrook – Nov 9, 5pm to 11pm
  • Ryknield Road, Belper – Oct 28 to Nov 8
  • West Bank Road, Allestree – Nov 1 to Nov 3

Police Release CCTV of Suspects

CCTV from Burley Lane shows three suspects roaming near the property at 6.40pm on November 25. Officers want anyone who saw suspicious activity or has dashcam footage to come forward.

“We urge anyone with information or video evidence to keep it safe and contact us immediately,” a spokesperson said.
