Man Jailed for Stabbing Partner to Death in Birmingham Flat

A man has been locked up for stabbing his partner to death in their Birmingham home. Kinga Roskinska, 38, died on 14 March after being attacked at the Oxhill Road flat.

12 Years Behind Bars for Manslaughter

Pawel Ondycz, 50, was sentenced to 12 years at Worcester Crown Court on 21 December for manslaughter. Paramedics and police found Kinga with a stab wound to her leg, but she died shortly after.

Disturbing Details Emerge

Instead of calling 999 immediately, Ondycz called friends for help, claiming his English wasn’t good enough. He then lied to emergency services, saying Kinga had taken her own life out of jealousy over another woman.

Investigators recovered blood-stained clothes and knives from the flat. Ondycz later admitted to a friend via text message that he had killed Kinga.

Family Tribute: ‘Kinga Taken Too Soon’

“Kinga has left behind three children. A mother’s love can never be replaced,” said her family.

“We are devastated and supporting the children through this tragedy. Losing a sister and mother so young is traumatic.”

“We always believed Kinga would never take her own life. We are relieved Ondycz admitted responsibility.”

“This Christmas will be the hardest without her. An empty place will be felt at the table.”

“She will never see her children grow up or become a grandmother. We have lost a much-loved sister, mother, and friend.”

Police Speak Out on Domestic Violence Signs

Det Sgt Ian Wilkins said: “Phone records and witness interviews proved Kinga did not harm herself. Ondycz lied to cover the truth.”

“The couple were together for two years, during which Ondycz had been violent towards Kinga.”

“While this sentence won’t bring Kinga back, we hope it eases some pain for her loved ones.”
