Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Reading Stabbing

A Woolwich man faces serious charges after a violent early-morning stabbing at a Reading bar.

Krisma Anthony Arrested Over Knife Attack

Krisma Anthony, from Woolwich, London, has been charged with attempted murder and carrying a knife in public. He is set to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court today.

In a related development, another 25-year-old London man was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.

Violent Incident at Walkabout Bar

The charges follow an attack at 2:04 am on Sunday, 11 February, outside the Walkabout Bar on Wiston Terrace, Reading. During a confrontation, a man in his twenties was stabbed.

The victim was rushed to hospital and is still in a critical condition.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Inspector Nick Hind urged the public to come forward: “This incident happened in a busy venue. We’ve spoken to several witnesses but ask anyone who hasn’t spoken to us yet to contact police on 101 or online. Please quote reference 43240066427.”
