- The family lost their beloved dog in the fire.
Grateful Dad Praises Firefighters’ Heroic Efforts
“This has been the most awful experience of our lives, a living nightmare. We have moved into a new home and Blaine will go back to school next month,” said Paul Beattie.
“Meeting the firefighters who saved my boys feels like a step towards healing. There aren’t really words to express our thanks.”
Firefighters Proud as Blaine Makes Progress
Watch Manager Mick Corfield, part of the rescue crew, shared his thoughts: “As a father myself, Blaine’s story really stuck with me. Seeing him smiling at the station was a powerful moment.”
Corfield added, “His recovery is ongoing, but everyone at CDDFRS wishes him all the best and looks forward to welcoming him back.” He also thanked his team for their bravery during the rescue.
Fire Investigation Underway as Community Urged to Stay Safe
