Gant, 39, pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving for the September 2022 incident. On April 4, 2024, he was sentenced to 21 months behind bars and slapped with a two-year driving ban.

The judge also slapped Gant with a five-year restraining order banning any contact with the victim—directly or through others.
