Man, 66, fatally stabbed in North London – suspect in court
Aleks Tsachev, 21, with no fixed address, appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 9 May, charged in connection with the stabbing of a 66-year-old man in N13.
Tsachev to face Old Bailey trial
Tsachev was remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, 13 May. Police confirm both men knew each other and are not searching for additional suspects.
Fatal stabbing in Millicent Grove
Police were called around 12.30am on Tuesday, 7 May, after reports of a stabbing at a Millicent Grove address. Emergency teams attended swiftly, but despite paramedics’ efforts, the 66-year-old victim died at the scene.
Victim’s family supported; identity withheld
Next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. Police are withholding the victim’s name pending confirmation that all family members have been told.
Teenager also injured but expected to recover
A 16-year-old boy sustained stab wounds in the same incident. Thankfully, he is expected to make a full recovery.
