Stalker Simon Anteney Given Suspended Sentence
Simon Anteney, 35, from Yarnbrook Gardens, Trowbridge, has been handed a 20-month suspended sentence for stalking. Bournemouth Crown Court dealt the sentence yesterday, following his guilty plea in November 2023.
Relentless Harassment Included Gifts and Fake Emails
Anteney bombarded his victim with nonstop messages, unwanted gifts, and surprise visits to her home and workplace. He even reached out to her family and created false email accounts to contact her, escalating the harassment.
Suspended Sentence Comes With Tough Conditions
- Anteney must complete a 28-day accredited programme
- Up to 20 days of rehabilitation activities
- 150 hours of unpaid work
- Five-year restraining order against the victim
Police Praise Victim’s Courage and Warn Against Stalking
Local Criminal Investigator Dawson said: “The victim showed remarkable courage coming forward. Stalking is a serious crime and Wiltshire Police are dedicated to tackling it firmly.”
