Masked Thug Robs Spondon Shop in Dead of Night
Detectives are hunting a man caught on camera near the scene of a daring robbery at a Costcutter in Spondon.
Robber Threatens Staff, Escapes With Cash, Vapes, and Phones
At around 9pm on Saturday, July 27, a masked man stormed into the Dale Road store. He threatened the staff and demanded money from the till before fleeing down an alley opposite the shop.
The crook made off with cash, several vapes, and mobile phones.
Suspect Description and Clothing Details Released
Police describe the suspect as white, slim, about 5ft 11ins tall, and no older than 25. He was seen wearing a green hoodie layered over a white baseball cap, blue jeans, and black trainers. His face was covered.
Officials revealed someone fitting this description was spotted near the shop just before the raid.
Police Plead for Dashcam and CCTV Footage
Detectives have released an image of the man and urge anyone who might recognise him by his clothes to come forward.
They also want drivers with dashcams or locals with CCTV who were near the store at the time to check their recordings for clues.
