Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Southport Stabbing

A 38-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Southport over the weekend. Authorities formally announced the charge earlier today.

Stabbing Incident Shocks Southport Neighbourhood

The violent attack occurred just after 5:20pm on Saturday, 27 July, inside a home on Albert Road. Emergency services rushed to the scene after reports of the stabbing.

The victim, an 18-year-old transgender woman, was taken to a local hospital and is now in stable condition.

Suspect in Custody, Court Hearing Today

Police arrested Mark Henderson, 38, of Albert Road. He is due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court this morning.
