Teen Charged with Peckham Murder of Jesse Lloyd-Smith
A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of 20-year-old Jesse Lloyd-Smith, who was fatally shot in Peckham. The teenager is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court today.
Tragic Shooting in East Surrey Grove
Jesse Lloyd-Smith was shot on Wednesday, 10 July, in East Surrey Grove. Despite emergency efforts, he died the following day. His family is currently receiving support from specially trained officers as the community reels from the loss.
Police Hunt Continues as More Arrests Made
The Metropolitan Police are still investigating the murder. Earlier arrests include a 21-year-old man, a 16-year-old boy, and a 17-year-old female, all now released on bail. Detectives remain determined to piece together the events leading to the killing.
“We are committed to finding justice for Jesse and his family. We urge anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward,” said the Detective Chief Inspector leading the investigation.
